How to build a Ground RB lineup

Start with nation lock and BR spread

Ground RB lineups are nation-locked: every tank, SPAA, and plane in the chain must share the same tree. Before you chase a cool premium, pick the nation you actually play and a battle rating band you can fill with real spawns.

Spread is the gap between your highest and lowest vehicle in the lineup. Matchmaking looks at the top vehicle. A single 8.0 tip with 6.7 backups feels fine in the hangar and then dumps you into lobbies where your second life cannot compete.

A practical target for most brackets is roughly one point of spread or less across your main spawn chain, with one flex slot if you accept the uptier risk.

Spawn order beats vehicle worship

Players collect strong single vehicles. Matches are won by who still has useful lives at the ten-minute mark. Order your lineup the way you intend to spawn: opener, backup after a bad first fight, flank or cap tool, SPAA when air shows up, CAS only after a tank life that earned map control.

If your third spawn is a stock light tank you never researched, you already know how the last third of the match will feel. Swap it for something you would actually spawn under pressure.

Roles you still need at every BR

Even a small lineup should cover a front-line tank or medium, something that can rotate or scout, dedicated SPAA, and optionally one plane. Missing SPAA is the most common self-inflicted loss in mid-tier and high-tier Ground RB.

Tank destroyers and open-top TDs belong in the chain after you have map information, not as blind first spawns on unknown flanks.

Premium vehicles are fine as openers if backups match their BR band. A lonely premium with no same-tier partner is how lineups collapse after one death.

When to publish or tweak

Once the chain looks honest for what you own, open coverage analysis and fix warnings before you share. Published lineups on Discover are for community votes and comments, not a substitute for a spawn plan you tested.
